TheraTogs client systems are designed to be customized, trimmed, and fitted to an individual wearer. They are normally worn next to the skin, under normal garments, where the patented foam layer can gently grip the soft tissues and create the biomechanical changes that are unique to TheraTogs systems.
The tabs below depict and describe each of our main product lines for individual client use. Follow the links therein for more information!
Inspired by the familiar infant “onesie” clothing, the Wunzi offers caregivers and clinicians a simpler alternative to the two-garment TheraTogs system. The elegant over-the-diaper design goes on in seconds.
Closure tabs are embedded right into the garment, so there are no loose tabs to keep track of!
Like all TheraTogs systems, the Wunzi is a comfortable, foam-lined, Velcro®-sensitive garment and strapping system that grips the skin. The patented composite fabric is elasticized with a stretch bias that favors good postural alignment – just the thing for a growing baby. The Wunzi and the Limb Kit include grip-lined elastic straps that operate like external muscles and ligaments to improve functioning body and proximal joint alignment in order to optimize motor development.
Responding to customer feedback, we recently expanded the base Wunzi Infant System configuration to include the limb cuffs and strapping you need to create the best infant postural system possible. (The Wunzi Limb Kit is still available, in case you need additional components for your client.)
Designed to leverage the human ‘upright’ response into improved functional alignment, the PTA takes full advantage of the neuromotor system’s ability to learn and adapt to corrected alignment. You can use the PTA to address:
- Flexible kyphosis
- Flexible lordosis / excess pelvic tilt
- Difficulty maintaining midline trunk and sitting balance
- Weak trunk muscles
- Shoulder protraction & scapular abduction
The PTA system consists of two garments and a small set of straps – a basic system that’s simple to apply, cost-effective, and easy to train caregivers in its use. With the PTA, wearable therapy is as easy as 1-2-3!
The classic TheraTogs Full Body System is designed for children and adults with complex neuromotor disorders:
- Young, ambulatory children with functional alignment and mobility issues incident to cerebral palsy and other CNS dysfunctions.
- Adults with stroke, traumatic brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis, and other adult-onset CNS dysfunctions.
The Full Body System is available in a full range of sizes, and is the modality of choice to address a variety of neuromotor, postural, mobility, and balance issues.
The Full Body System wraps the torso and extremities in a Velcro-sensitive “strapping field” that allows the clinician to attach straps that can improve postural alignment and stability. The Full Body System addresses the greatest variety of functional alignment and movement issues, as well as related issues in the extremities proximal to the wrists and ankles.
The TheraTogs Lower Extremity System is designed to address several alignment and functional deviations of the knee joints, developing femurs, and hip joints in an independently ambulatory child, and in an ambulatory adult with no problems related to hip or trunk stability.
The Lower Extremity System is an effective intervention for the management of neuromotor, balance and gait disorders caused by a wide range of diagnoses, including:
- Cerebral palsy
- Ligament laxity
- Hemiplegia due to stroke or TBI
The Wrist & Thumb Positioning System is the most versatile and flexible system of its kind. Prescribe it as a stand-alone functional alignment aide, or use it to extend a TheraTogs strapping application from the shoulder or elbow to the hand.
Made of the same comfortable foam-backed GoldTone™ materials as our TheraTogs garments, the Wrist & Thumb Positioning System is both comfortable and effective in supporting and maintaining the joint position gains available with manual correction.
The Wrist & Thumb system can improve your outcomes in managing these indications:
- Flexible wrist-flexed posture, wrist or carpometacarpal joint instability
- Soft tissue extensibility at wrist or thumb
- Palmar arch modulation deficits (post hemiparsis, post-stroke, cerebral palsy)
- Increased ulnar deviation at the wrist
- Proximal limb joint control deficits
If you can correct wrist and thumb alignment with your hands, without force, you can use the TheraTogs Wrist & Thumb System to carry over that correction – positioning your client’s day-long activities in corrected functional alignment. No other wrist or hand support product offers the adaptability, flexibility, and patient comfort of this TheraTogs system.
