Clinical Starter System (CSS) Configurations
Designed for indications such as hypotonia, diplegia, hemiplegic cerebral palsy, torticollis, athetosis, cerebellar ataxia, and BPI, the new Wunzi provides input through the torso to address motor and sensory development delays. The Wunzi is effective in addressing common motor issues such as a ‘floppy’ trunk, an infant’s inability to hold his head, trunk, or hip position, or an infant’s inability to right itself or regain balance. The Wunzi CSS includes three Wunzi systems, and is available in three size configurations:
- CSS-WZ-1 – Infants from birth to 12 months. Includes GWZ25, GWZ50, and GWZ75 models.
- CSS-WZ-2 – Infants from 3 to 18 months. Includes GWZ50, GWZ75, and GWZ100 models.
- CSS-WZ-3 – Infants from 12 to 24 months. Includes GWZ75, GWZ100, and GWZ125 models.
Our most popular model, the Pediatric CSS supplies the core components that make up the Posture & Torso Alignment (PTA), Full Body, and Lower Extremity TheraTogs systems. Clinicians can use the Pediatric CSS to trial a variety of TheraTogs applications for posture, torso alignment, trunk stability and gait improvements. Each Pediatric CSS includes two TheraTogs ULTRA TankTops and Hipsters in Pre-School and Pediatric sizes, plus a selection of corresponding cuffs and strapping. The Pediatric CSS will fit clients from 25 lbs. to 65 lbs.
The Adult CSS supplies the core components that make up the Posture & Torso Alignment, Full Body, and Lower Extremity systems. Clinicians can use the Adult CSS to trial a variety of TheraTogs applications for posture, torso alignment, trunk stability and gait improvements. Each Adult CSS includes two TheraTogs ULTRA TankTops and Hipsters in Petite and Small/Medium Adult sizes, plus a selection of corresponding cuffs and strapping. The Adult CSS will fit clients from 65 lbs. to 170 lbs.
The TheraTogs Wrist & Thumb Clinical Starter System is a cost-effective tool for school-based or private therapy practices, early intervention programs, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and orthotics offices that see to the needs of children and adults with CNS dysfunction, brachial plexus injury, and orthopedic problems involving the wrist and thumb.
The Wrist & Thumb CSS includes one Wrist & Thumb unit in right and left configurations for both the Small and Med/Large pediatric sizes – a total of four units, plus a sampling of all the straps and cuffs that would be included in each complete system. (The Wrist & Thumb systems are not available in adult sizes.)
The Wrist & Thumb Positioning System is the most versatile and flexible system of its kind. Prescribe it as a stand-alone functional alignment aide, or use it to extend a TheraTogs strapping application from the shoulder or elbow to the hand.
Not intended for distribution to individual patients, the Sizing Kit is a less costly option for undertaking clinical trials than purchasing complete sets in the same span of sizes.
Although your Clinical System is designed to meet specific clinical needs, you can also expand any CSS product with one or more sets of larger or smaller garments, cuffs and strapping components. For example, if your pediatric practice includes pre-teens and teenagers, you may want to order the Petite Adult Expansion kit, to add the #400 series sizes appropriate for those clients.
TogRite™ is the muscle-assist dynamic strapping material that uniquely replicates functioning muscle, and is designed specifically for TheraTogs orthotic garment systems. TogRite features an elasticized latex-free backing that grips the body or garment surfaces to resist migration.
When applied to an injury – such as a wrap for a swollen sprained ankle – the grip surface functions much like KineseoTex® tape, “pumping” the fluids out of the swollen area and reducing the swelling dramatically.
Laboratory testing has demonstrated TogRite’s superior rebound and recovery properties, with no “stretch out” or loss of recoil strength and resistance to stretch – even after repeated use and multiple machine washings. We’ve seen the same straps used daily for more than 6 months with no loss of elastic vigor or grip.
TogRite is now available in 10-yard or 25-yard bulk rolls from most of our US distributors. (Smaller rolls of replacement parts are also available from TheraTogs. See the Replacement Parts web page for details.)
