How to Purchase TheraTogs
TheraTogs are FDA-registered as a Class I medical device, requiring custom-fitting by a qualified clinician. They can influence significant biomechanical and postural alignment change with long-term effects, and should only be configured by a qualified clinician – typically a physical/occupational/speech therapist – in response to the wearer’s specific needs.
TheraTogs may be ordered by US clinicians in several ways:
-
Directly from TheraTogs, through a free authorized Professional Account.
-
Through one of our US distributors.
-
Through a participating O&P or DME provider (typically required for reimbursement claims).
If you are outside the US, check out our Global Distributor map to find a distributor in your country.
TheraTogs are not available over-the-counter in retail stores or via retail websites.

If you want to pay for your TheraTogs system directly (or file a reimbursement claim after purchase), you have two options:
Work with your therapist or rehab clinician to place an order through their Professional Account at TheraTogs.com.

Care Agencies
TheraTogs are funded or provided by a number of state Medicaid and Early Intervention programs, as well as charities, non-profits, and service organizations. In most instances, these organizations may set up direct accounts with us. Please contact us at accounts@TheraTogs.com • (970) 239-0098 to set up your account.
Reimbursement
Many third-party payors and state Medicaid agencies will pay for TheraTogs if they are requested properly “through the system” as defined by that payor. For reimbursement purposes, a doctor’s prescription may be required, and typically the order is placed by an orthotist or DME facility (pre-authorization may be required). The O&P (orthotic and prosthetic) provider or a DME (durable medical equipment) facility will submit an insurance funding request that includes a doctor’s prescription plus a firm, persuasive and specific LMN letter that’s been written by the client’s physician or therapist. The funding request must indicate the appropriate HCPCS billing code.
Depending on your state and/or coverage, TheraTogs may be classified as a miscellaneous orthotic (with orders placed by O&P providers) or a miscellaneous medical device (with orders placed through DME providers). However, if the client has postural alignment and trunk control issues that would make a TLSO medically appropriate, the Dragonfly TLSO system is code-verified for L-0456. The Dragonfly includes a warm-and-form spinal support unit and a TheraTogs Postural and Torso Alignment (PTA) garment system.
A map of current O&P/DME providers is available here; let us know if your preferred provider is not listed, and we’ll contact them with information.
NOTE: Clinicians may need to generate an LMN (Letter of Medical Necessity) or otherwise support the doctor’s decision and the reimbursement claim. Sample LMN letter
